I love your students’ Paul Bunyan project and I also love your class site. I am a special ed teacher in NC and want to incorporate a blog into my class to help with writing (which I am terrible at working on)…I love how you post a picture and write your thoughts and then have them add their thoughts. I am totally going to “borrow” that idea from you.

Thank you Jeanna! I would love for you to ‘borrow’ any ideas I have…That’s a big part of why I am doing this. My students have been very motivated to write on the blog and I find that so exciting! Let me know how it goes with your class!

Hi Jeanna! I was very excited to find your blog(s) from the comment you left on mine. I’m bookmarking them to share with other teachers as an example (and for ideas). I especially love this digital story idea. I would love to learn more about what it’s like to live in a place that’s usually considered a vacation spot, at least where I live.

Tina – To hear about the summer in Vegas – you should check out my class blog! My latest post for my students asked them to discuss what they look forward to for the summer.
It’s interesting, because there is so much more to Vegas beyond the strip. Some people are VERY surprised by this!

This is such a great idea! I would love to figure this out and use it in my own classroom. What program did you use? And, did the kids write their own script or did you read what the author had written?

To do this project, I chose a book and we used the story written there. Next year, I’m going to do that first with my class and then we will write our own story for the second project.
I will make my next blog post (hopefully tomorrow) about the steps I took to make this project happen.
Thanks for the feedback Becca!
